I backed the project on Kickstarter with $60 way over a year ago. Never received anything. He stopped posting updates on Kickstarter about 8 months ago. There are a lot of us in that boat. Unfortunate.

Heard from a VERY reliable source that SN is currently using Bravo and Palisades in SNPA.

Gonna do a ~4.2% hoppy APA this weekend or next week (vacation! woo hoo!). Thinking CTZ for bittering...what else, I'm not sure. Maybe I'll do a FWH/whirlpool hopping only thing. Also want to do an Alt, not sure if I'll get to it this week though.

Brewed around 10 gallons of a nice Oktoberfest today. Same recipe as I brewed last year...it turned out to be my favorite Oktoberfest, so no recipe changes. Saflager W-34/70 makes awesome Oktoberfest, btw (and I don't even normally use dry yeast).

Might be about time for me to brew this one again too. I remember it fondly. :) By the way, the original is called Gordon G'Knight now (for anyone using Search).

I don't know if Lowe's has any particular problem, but the freezer does dent easily. As to how it was completely destroyed...maybe it fell off a loading dock or truck or something.

Brewing a Russian imperial stout on Sunday.

Silicone does really smell bad while it's curing. Don't worry about it; the odor will go away. Also, yes, these freezers are VERY susceptible to dents. Mine has a couple little dings and I have no idea where they came from.
