Other Micro brewery for sale in Ecuador

If I was at a different stage of life, it would probably be something I'd be interested in considering. I've heard good things about Ecuador. Good luck with your sale.

    Surly Abrasive clone

I came across this thread doing some research. Did 50/50 for GNO and flaked oats turn out ok? Any other recommendations after you tried this bill?

Anyone got a Surly's Todd the Axe man clone

Any updates on future versions? I'm thinking of brewing this next. Why raise the mash? Personal preference or trying to get it closer to Todd? I personally prefer drier IPAs so I'm hesitant to go that high on the mash. And some of the commentary that it is maltier than Todd makes me even...

    Meijer Spring Water Profile

Resurrecting this thread because I just ordered their latest water report. It's close, but a little different, than what the original post in 2011 reported. Ca 71 Mg 26 Na 8 Cl 17 S 30 Alkalinity 260 pH 7.5 Report attached (Edit, it won't let me attach. It might be too large. PM...

OFFICIAL Kate the Great Russian Imperial Stout Clone

Yeah, I'd stick with port too. I don't even like port because it's way too sweet. But the subtle sweetness just works so well in this beer. You'd get something totally different with Cabernet or any other bolder red. Might not be a bad experiment though. With that said, I'm going to split...

OFFICIAL Kate the Great Russian Imperial Stout Clone

We split the batch and added a vanilla bean to about 2.5 gallons. It turned out great!

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Dry hop in primary question: I've seen many suggestions you should throw the first round of dry hops in around day 3. If you do, should you rack to a secondary sooner than normal? I'm just wondering if two weeks (estimate) sitting on dry hops is too long and you'll get some grassy flavors.

Illinois 10 g Rubbermaid Mash tun

10g Insulated mash tun with ball valve. Also has a stainless braided manifold in a circular loop connected with a T barb (2 inputs decreases chances of a stuck sparge and I've never had one with this setup). This baby has served me well for years but I've recently upgraded to a 3 kettle...

    Illinois 25 ft Copper Chiller - $45

Clean and have been using for several years with great results. We just moved to a larger system and needed something a little quicker. It works great. Hose fitting attached. Open to shipping if buyer pays. I live near Chicago if anyone is interested in an in-person exchange.

    Red X Malt

I'm playing with a recipe for an Imperial Red IPA. I don't want to do all RedX because I'm reading it's kind of malty. So I'm thinking of cutting it with 2 row and then adding a few other things for flavor/color. What do you think? Original Gravity: 1.080 Final Gravity: 1.014 ABV...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I just subbed Amarillo for Galaxy. Turned out phenomenal.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I've made this recipe twice now and it has quickly become a favorite. Question...I just scored some cheap hops. Azacca, Centennial, Summit and Cascade. Do you think any combination of these would work well as a hop substitute? I figured I love the base beer so much, might as well experiment...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I'm making this recipe for the second time on Friday. Unfortunately EVERYONE seems out of Galaxy. My LHBS said the distributors are out so all that is left is what might be sitting on retail shelves. Current harvest should be available in a few months. So I'm swapping in Amarillo. I'm not...
