I would really like to see someone's electric setup. I believe this is the route I want to go. Maybe I can come over one brew day and see how it all works and help out if possible.

Well, I am moving up from bucket/carboy fermrntation. Bought a fastferment conical but I needed a stand. Here it is.

They opened a store in the Clearlake area and so far I have to say the staff there is very friendly and helpful.

Have an Abby ale in the carboy right now. It was a huge relief that I liked it. Lol

Ok, first batch was a success!!!!! Man it was good. Everyone that has had it, likes it!!!!

I used a pre packed kit. Maybe I didn't let it sit long enough? It's a hefenwizen and they told me it's a real yeasty beer. Instructions also said to pour slowly and make sure not to stir up sediment in bottom..... Just wasn't expecting this much. How would I know if it's a bad batch other than...

Um, is this right?!?

And here is my first batch! Only got 42 bottles though...... That's a case less than I had expected. Not sure what happened.

Um, no. I am thinking ss brewing tech looks like a good mix of quality and features and cost. Is there something else comparable to them? Like I said 5 gallon batches is what I am shooting for. Also is there one way better than another for the fermentation as far as vessel selection goes...

I'm really interested in building an electric system too. Small batches of five gallons. I'm curious about what all I need to get and what to avoid. I looked at Kal's site and his is awesome, but I just don't have the funds for such a build.
