Corks or stoppers - wine bottles

I'll be using wine bottles, and there will be no carbonation :) How long will it keep (Before oxidation) with just normal cork stoppers? (Like the stoppers in my link, not the corks)

    Will my cider have oxidised?

I'm just asking if oxidation could have occured, as the the cider took on a very dark look and a slightly-off smell. Was just wondering if me taking too long to siphon, and me (Just pissing about) blowing air in to the siphon tube and having that make the cider bubble would cause oxidisation...

Corks or stoppers - wine bottles

Aright guys :) I've got a gallon of hard cider brewing. I want to bottle her in to 75cl wine bottles, purely because my friend has an abundance of them. I'm just wondering. I don't want to cork them so they require a corkscrew to open as I plan on drinking them within a month a...

    Will my cider have oxidised?

I'm unsure as to wether my cider has oxidised or not. It had always been in a demijohn with bung and filled airlock, apart from when siphoning. When siphoning both airlocks and bung came off, and I may have stupidly blew in to the siphon tube in to the cider. Could this have actually...

    Oxidised cider!

Cheers for the input guys :) I added a touch more sugar to quickly activate the yeast again, as I've heard the active yeast eats oxygen, and will also add a campden tablet before bottling as again heard this can somewhat rid slightly of the effects of oxidisationand turn off the yeast. And...

    Oxidised cider!

My cider has oxidised, as it has a slight vinegary smell. It is still in it's demijohn, hoping to bottle mid next-week. Is there any way I can reverse the oxidation process?

Backsweetening cider in demijohn or in bottle

Bottling bucket? And fair enough, how much sulfites should I add to 1 gallon of cider? Also, do the sulfites combat oxidisation? This is possibly a problem for me, mainly from when I was racking in to a secondary, I am afraid there may be oxidastion as all I did was take out the bung and...

Backsweetening cider in demijohn or in bottle

Alright guys :) I'm almost done with my gallon of hard cider. She's been maturing in the demijohn for about 1 and a half weeks/just over, and am going to give it another 1.5 weeks, bottle and condition in bottle for a week. Thing is, I want to backsweeten. She's planning on being a flat...

    Killing yeast when done fermenting

Alright guys :) I've dabbled in brewing, never anything fancy, just a very bog-standard suger-juice-yeast ferment for 7 days sort of job, haha. More just a little bit of fun than anything else. I've got a gallon of cider that's done brewing, and was wondering. What's the best way to...
