    Kölsch Bee Cave Brewery Kölsch

Just took my first pull of the keg. Cold crashed for over 8 days due to family trip. Great tasting beer. I have a real spicy note after taste on this. For those that brewed this before...is this common on the kolsch?

I am going to be in the Anaheim area from the 25th of June to the 5 of july and was going to bring some Cigar City and others if someone was interested in trading while I was out there. If there's a special request let me know by Friday the 20th. Thanks Jason

    Kölsch Bee Cave Brewery Kölsch

Roger that. I did this one in a glass carboy this time since my son thought my fermentation bucket would be good to put beach sand in. At least I didn't have anything fermenting in it. :)

    Kölsch Bee Cave Brewery Kölsch

Brewed this last nite. Hit 1.056 post boil (adjusted for temp). Used a yeast starter from wyeast kolsch. 5 hours into it and it was chugging away. Had to remove airlock and use tube since the pressure pushed the stopper up. Plugged air lock. Took a sample from thief and it's very good. Can't...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

yewtah-brewha, yes I did. I tried it again and hit the FG and OG near the same. Fermented at same temp, BUT pitched the hops into the wort rather than placing them in the muslin bag and it came out a lot better. Not sweet like the last one which could've been a Blue Moon white ale clone. From a...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

shadows69....I checked the mash with 2 different thermometers so I'm pretty sure I was good there. Efficiency was almost 80%. I'mgoing to probably try it again and pitch the hops pellets directly instead of the muslin bags. I believe that the wort just didnt get a chance to flow properly through...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

Wyobrewer1 thanks! That's what I assumed since the bags were pretty much stretched. The wort didn't have a chance to flow through during the boil.

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

Question??? I just recently brewed this beer and let it sit for 9 days in primary and then kegged. Been in the kegerator for 15 days at 12psi and 39F. Not sure if this is supposed to taste like a white ale, but mine is really sweet. Being a noob at all grain and hitting the OG and FG almost dead...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

Yetah-brewha, I would say that the bitterness I got wasn't what I would want. It drinks like a white ale to me and probably why my wife likes it. I would probably do the 1oz at the end if you want a bit more bitterness. Also, just noticed that my hops weren't 6.6%....only 5.4%

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

This recipe is one of my wife's and her friends favorites. I'm going to change up the hops next batch and see if I can get it more towards my liking.
