    Fermentation reboot?

    Are you using the yeast that came with the kit? I've had two separate batches come back to life krausen and all after 2 weeks. I've found it has happened to others as well. May just be the yeast. After one week of no activity it came back to fermentation. Not moved once and temps around 68 to 70.

    ^ second to the yeast in different states. My class just gave us unfermented wort and we had to add our own yeast. But your beer would not taste so good like you mentioned right? Wouldn't it be way too sweet?

    I think cleaning after each batch is a must. There is a space between cavity that I noticed always hold buildup of wort/trub. I didn't after my first batch when I did pull it out when I started my third batch there was noticeable mold on the Teflon tape. Luckily my beer came out fine.

    Did I mess up my starter?

    I made a 1 liter starter on Friday night w001 on my stir plate. There has been noticeable krausen on the starter since Saturday morning. Early this Sunday morning I threw it in the fridge.     Us-05 pitched at 59f

    Just took a gravity reading and had my first sample. OG 1.050 gravity check 1.014. Right in line from the recipe. Tasted great too. Didn't notice any peach flavors. Can't wait to keg in the next few days.
