BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Nice. I just put one on order and I'll get it wired up for some tests next week.

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Anyone have experience successfully using "US Solid" 2 way valves (2-wire auto-close) (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WWPZWGZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) with the Uniflex? If so, would you be willing to share a wiring diagram? I have a few new use cases that I may want to use...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

[Update] After swapping out the ESP32 board with a known good, I'm back in action. I haven't done any diagnostics on the old board yet, but at least I'm back online.

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Hey All, interested to see if anyone has encountered a situation where their Uniflex v2 (with nothing plugged in) does not default to "access point mode" when powered on? Notes: No 3.5mm jacks plugged in No I/O plugged in No 120v/240v plugged in Confirmed power is on (bluelight and fans...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Alright...I've bench tested all of the valves and they're in good shape. Now I have a UniShield noobie question. I want to control these valves with the UniShield. Given that each valve has 3 wires (Open[Green], Close[Red], and PWR[Black]) what does the physical wiring look like? I know that...

Thanks again @RiverCityBrewer, 2-way valves (KLD20S) are operating as expected:

Awesome, thank you for the advice. I'll report back results here when I complete some tests.

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Thanks @RiverCityBrewer that makes sense for the Motorized 2-way valves, but for the pressure sensor (pins: 3(signal), 2(GND), 1(VCC)) I don't imagine this approach would provide any useful output. Also, I have two proportional valves[not yet wired] (pins: 4(Feedback), 3(Control), 2(GND)...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Build update: Started extending and terminating the the sensors and valves. I'm adding about 10/11 feet of 22/4 shielded security cable to each sensor and valve. The cable terminations are microphone cable connectors and I'm adding a braided sleeve (blue - valve)(red - sensor). I'll...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

After many, many moons...the long awaited Uniflex is in the brewhouse and the build can begin. The last few days have been dedicated to installing DIN rail wiring blocks and wire raceways.

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Thank you for the helpful info. My valves are 24VDC (3wire)...not sure on polarity (will need to check this). From your reply it sounds like I can "extend" the I/O capacity of the Uniflex (to accomodate my valves and sensors) by integrating a Mega 2560.

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

@BrunDog I'd like to purchase your uniflex 30A product, but am unsure that it will suit my needs. My brewery has 20 KLD20 (2way) motorized valves, 1 PSF-20 volume sensor, and 2 Onewire temp probes. It looks like from your spec sheet that the Uniflex only supports up to 12 I/O. Is there a...

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

Will do. I've got an active fermentation at the moment, but I'll put it on Road Map for brewery updates/upgrades. Thanks!

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

I'm not sure which version of TiltBridge I'm running...it was flashed probably a year+ ago with BrewFlasher if that gives you any indication. ^^screenshot of "About" Page in TiltBridge Web Application" I recreated my Google Sheets probably 8-10 months ago.

TiltBridge - Tilt-to-WiFi Device for Tilt Hydrometer

Hey everyone, I have a nit that's been bugging me for a long time, but wasn't motivated enough to look into a solution until now. I'm running an Orange Tilt->Tilt Repeater->TiltBridge->Google Sheets. As you can see in the screenshot, my date/time is always off by about a day and a half (In the...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I've come across an interesting problem with my Onewire temperature sensors... I have two (2) Onewire temperature sensors hooked up my fermentrack system with the typical GND/5v/data wires combined on a wiring block to read beer and chamber temps. After doing some wire management in my project...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Just wanted to report back on an issue I was experiencing back in June. I was getting SainSmart relay failures on my cooling circuit (I'm running a True GDM-23 commercial fridge as my fermentation chamber). It was believed that the load on the circuit (when the fridge started up) was soldering...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

@LBussy Based on your suggestions I've revamped my wiring diagram and think I have things sorted. I have an active fermentation going at the moment, but when it's finished up I'll rewire everything and report back.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

@day_trippr the SSR that I have on hand is the InkBird SSR-40 DA I've added a few labels for clarification *Note that I swapped out the Leonardo for my Uno (I didn't realize I had my old setup pictured)*
