    20# CO2 Tank

Thanks this helps a lot. I recently came into possession of a #20 tank which ended up being way too big given the amount of beer I brew and keg. I was looking to sell it and this gives me a great idea on how much to ask. Cheers.

Hopefully this is the right forum room for this question. What is a fair price for a used and empty 20# CO2 tank?

    Secondary using same carboy?

I'm on day 10 of fermenting in my primary and reached my final gravity. The beer is more cloudy than usual and I remembered that I did not add Irish moss to my brew kettle like I have in the past. To clear up the beer, I was wanting to use gelatin but I only have one carboy. Should I..... 1)...

How to heat/ control temperature for glass carboy

Yep. Most aquarium heaters have an adjustable dial. Of course you'd have to manually adjust the temp each day but it should handle your request. My heater, linked below, can reach low 90s. Check it out http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006MMJ8EE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Fermentable recommendation please

I'm brewing my first AG batch this weekend, an IPA. Are there fermentables that will increase SRM without affecting taste? I'm currently at 4.1 SRM looking to increase that to around 11. Here's what I have so far: 10 lb - 2 row 4 lb - Golden promise Thanks

    New to cold crashing

I'm on day 11 of fermentation for my pale ale. I've reached final gravity and want to try cold crashing for the first time. Should I let the yeast do their clean up or should I move on to the cold crash? If I am to hold off on cold crashing, when would you recommend I start the process? (I plan...

    Post your infection

Everything was going great. Brewing and drinking beer in the garage while I listened to music. It was a perfect Saturday afternoon. Then it came time to transfer the wort into the carboy. When I was making the switch, the funnel w/ screen was filtering so much of the trub/sludge that the filter...

How to keep water in fermentation tub clean?

My LHBS recommended I use iodine tablets or drops. Iodine tablets are the most commonly sold purifying tablets, but you can also use chlorine tablets with the same result. These tablets are most effective when the water you are purifying is 68 degrees F (21 degrees C) or higher. These chemical...

To all you first time brewers!!!

I wish you would have posted this a few weeks ago. As a first time brewer, I fell victim to the "ss vs aluminum" and "glass vs plastic" debates. I finally got to the point where I said, "f it, just make beer." My noob advice for other noobs......."f it, just make beer"
