I want an AWESOME bottle brush!

+1 on the Third Coast drill bottle and carboy cleaners. Made right here in Michigan, too!

    Bia2gc?

That's what I'm worried about lol. I'll have to do some research into what the cooler is made of. HDPE doesn't really start to melt until over 400F, and the ovens that heat it up to form it are usually 700F to 800F.

    Bia2gc?

I'll check out the Basic Brewing vids on youtube...they look like they'd be interesting. I'm hoping that using the cooler will give me better efficiency as I didn't do so great last time. Thanks for all the advice guys!

    Bia2gc?

Cool...will a regular drink cooler and a paint strainer bag work without any customization?

    Bia2gc?

Hey all, Trying to experiment with one-gallon batches, doing a BIAB in a two-gallon pot on the stove. I'm running into problems keeping my mash temp within range, so what I wonder is this: Would it be possible to mash in a bag in a 2 gallon drink cooler? Why or why not is this a good idea...

    What are you reading?

Funny, I literally just finished reading the Codex series about 15 minutes ago. The Codex is done, although he's supposed to have a new series coming out - The Cinder Spires. I hear the next DF book is gonna be called Peace Talks. I dunno...when has Harry been big on peace?

    Why so....foamy?

Great point....my Irish Red that I overcrushed and my piss-tasting cider has been getting better with age.

    Why so....foamy?

Beer was in the primary for about 10 days before racking. Bubbles were coming about one every 90 seconds or so. Don't quote me on the OG and FG because my notes are piled away somewhere right now (my brewing area seats about 45 for Christmas), but I think it was around 1.055ish OG and 1.002...

    Why so....foamy?

Well, I think I screwed up somehow. When I racked the stout kit from primary to secondary, I was amazed at the amount of tan foam/slime on top, and the extremely sour smell. I tasted the bit I pulled off for hydrometer reading, and it tasted quite sour as well. I know it's supposed to age for...

    Founders sells 30% to Spain.

I hope this is good news and not bad.....they're my favorite brewery! Apparently I need to come up with a Dirty Bastard clone ASAP

What is the minimum equipment needed to start all-grain brewing?

Guessing the ratchet rope winch is to allow the bag to drain?
