    I use mostly whole fresh fruit, just pitted so I have a lot of solid fruit material left each time. I was wondering if it can be added to a new batch? Like a starter of sorts.....think it has and live yeast in it? Just curious- I’m a Baker and that is sort of how it works for bread but... ‍♀️

    So I have 11 lbs of honey, 1.5 gallons of apple cider and 2 lbs of dates- figs-raisins going into a 5 gallon batch..... How much pectic enzyme you think I need?

    I would have recommend the kitchen aide..... You just attach it to the from of the mixer and turn it on but if you don't have a mixer.....

    Lol.... I'm a baker, I make real 18th century fruitcake, no weird jellied fruit. Just dried figs, apricots, raisins, cranberries and pecans with just enough cake to hold it together. And we soak them with brandy every few days for three weeks......😁 merry Christmas!

    Thanks.---They are very sweet pomegranates but yes I was hoping to have more juice when I started.... I came to about 12 cups juice total plus the 4 cups seeds. I did end up adding 1lb of organic cane sugar to it just to balance it out a bit and a little under 5.5 gallons cause I not expecting...

    Ok so 10 lbs of honey, a little over 10 cups of fresh squeezed pomegranate juice and 4 cups fresh pomegranate whole seeds, and water to about 5.5 gallons.....     Farm girl/baker forced to work in the restaurant industry. I waste nothing! I can get all the fruit I will ever need from my family orchard and farm, honey either from the bee guy who pollinates the cherries or cheap through work so all I have to do is order some good yeast, sanitizer and such...

    I too am going to be starting a 5gallon batch of cyser (cider,honey,dates). Two packs of yeast? I used to have a helper who did the fussy parts and I was just in charge of ingredient procurement and prep but on my own now and I don't remember some of the details.
