In-Laws having an issue with my brewing

Nine pages of posts and no one has provided the obvious answer, which is to give 10% of your beer to the church. The underlying issue is the formation of a false logic, i.e. all people who drink beer are alcoholics. I for one am a supporter of showing their judgment to be wrong by example...

Nissan Rogue or Altima? Which one?

I don't know, I just did a quick search for a picture of the convertible murano on the Internet. My wife had a 2012 rogue, but we got rid of it when the lease was up and bought a new ford explorer. We liked the rogue a lot, it was a really good car considering the cost. I was happy with it...

Nissan Rogue or Altima? Which one?

Apparently, you have never seen a Murano Crosscabriolet in the wild.

Nissan Rogue or Altima? Which one?

FWIW, not all Rogues are AWD. The standard is FWD, with AWD being an option.

Nissan Rogue or Altima? Which one?

They are basically the same car, engineering wise. I believe they share the same drivetrain. I had a Rogue (wife's car) and the and the CVT (transmission) went at 30k miles. But, it was covered under warranty. 5 days later it was fixed. They extended the warranty to 125k for that CVT, and I...

Filling CO2 Cylinder at Dick's Sporting Goods?

This is your answer. There are current relevant discussions going on regarding CO2 fills on the following threads which you may find informative, infuriating, or both: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=589239 https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=590418

Food Grade CO2 vs. Industrial CO2

They probably do, generally speaking. They usually get it delivered from a tank (either truck or stand alone) that is food grade "certified". When you are filling fountain drinks all day, you go through gas. They usually look like the picture attached. Our tanks dont look like that. Our...

Food Grade CO2 vs. Industrial CO2

There is another debate going on here on the same topic: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=590418 For many, I don't think it is a matter of price, but one of availability. I live in Miami, a major city, and finding a place that will fill 5# tanks with food grade CO2 is tough. I...

Does Crazy equipment = home brew slow down?

Hooray for tangential internet forum debates! I have moved towards simplicity and away from complications, which is strange for me because in just bout all of my other hobbies, I am usually a sucker for new and "improved" things. I don't know if I am the target person for some of these new...

Non-Beverage Grade CO2 and the Impurities Within

From what I can gather (again, I am not an expert), both of these statements are true, to a degree. There are, in fact, grades of CO2. Those seem to be highly dependent upon the vessel used to store and transport the gasses for most practical purposes, with some exceptions. Effectively, we...

legal or illegal maybe just not right

To put this in some context, in some states you could be theoretically be convicted of three felonies by stealing a fire extinguisher, while having any amount of a controlled substance (like pot) on you at the time of doing so, and being in possession of someone's (other than yourself) drivers...

Non-Beverage Grade CO2 and the Impurities Within

TLDR: My limited research on the matter seems to suggest variation regarding handling and containers as opposed to chemical difference in the actual gas from grade to grade. I have looked into this, but I am far from knowledgeable on the subject. Hopefully, someone with experience int he gas...

Food Grade CO2 vs. Industrial CO2

Some dive shops also have an affiliated or connected hydrostatic testing/certification business, and those businesses test, certify and fill fire extinguishers, and thus fill CO2 for that main purpose. Paintball tanks and beer uses and the like are typically just a tertiary benefit.

    Coffee Imperial Stout Advice

Add actual brewed espresso. That's how I add coffee to all my beers now, and I do it when I rack to the keg. I have also just dumped it into a cold and carved keg. Just make sure you give it a day or two to disperse evenly in the leg before adding more. I usually use a Moka pot and Cuban...
