CO2 coming out of solution in keg lines

It is looking like the problem was a gas leak: one of the kegs kicked, and just out of curiosity i left it sitting, detached from the CO2 and faucet line, for a couple days. when I went to relieve pressure to open the keg for cleaning, there was no pressure. The leak was slow enough that soapy...

And by the way, myths, un-truths, etc, are now known as "alternate facts". heh.

CO2 coming out of solution in keg lines

my serving pressure is ~10psi, with 12' accuflex tubing length. Issue is, I will get slugs of gas on every upward facing loop of the beer line, including straight out of the keg, so I don't think my problem is tubing length. Raising serving pressure does not seem to have an affect on the...

CO2 coming out of solution in keg lines

So, new parts arrived and installed, the problem is NOT fixed. Tried doing the pressure release and line purge again, just to make doubly sure it's not over-carbonated, still getting gas bubbles (since I no longer know if it's CO2 or air...) in the line. I am officially...

CO2 coming out of solution in keg lines

Well it remains to be seen if this fixes the issue. Parts are still en route, I will hopefully know if that was the problem once the parts arrive.

CO2 coming out of solution in keg lines

I was skeptical, but decided to pull apart my beer line since I've got no other ideas. I am using the accuflex beerlines and push-connect adapters. Since the beer line has been holding in to the connector, i figured it must have been fine... but maybe not: the keg connector, immediately after...

CO2 coming out of solution in keg lines

So the CO2 vent of the keg and slow purge of the line has not worked... Any other ideas?

CO2 coming out of solution in keg lines

I've been troubleshooting an issue with my kegerator, and was hoping for some ideas on how to fix this issue. The symptoms: after sitting for a while, as little as 15 minutes, I get a slug of CO2 in my beer lines. This causes problems with foaming, and frustration when I want to drink my...

    Show us your Kegerator

my $50 CL freezer, turned keezer. the guy I bought it from started the stickers, I've just been adding to it. the collar is waterlox'd cherry, with some foam insulation on the inside. my drip tray is a temporary solution until I find some stronger magnets to stick the metal one I have on the side.

Anyone have a good hopy recipe ready in 3 weeks?

happy yeast seem to be fast yeast. the beers i've done using a large starter of wlp001 have all finished fermenting in under a week using a fermentation fridge and O2 injection before pitching. my most recent AG IPA was dry hopped on day 10, cold crashed on day 11, and kegged on day 14. 3.5oz of...

    Sourcing Cacao Nibs

i bought the scharffen berger nibs because of my experience with their chocolate bars. i figured if the chocolate they sell is really good, then the nibs are probably going to be good quality as well. the beer they are for is still fermenting, so i won't know if they're decent for beer for a...

    Brew logs and recipe tracking

i use the spreadsheets in google docs. first sheet is a cost tracker and tasting notes/tweaks for each brew. each recipe gets its own sheet... now that i think about it, the tasting notes should probably be going on the recipe sheets.

Opinions on a chocolate coffee stout recipe

I am planning to brew a choco/coffee stout. 5ish gallon batch. The grain bill was written assuming I'll see lowish efficiency from my Igloo cooler, and to make the numbers nice and round. I have not researched these grains extensively, so please let me know if there are redundancies or excessive...

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Hella Vanilla Cream Ale

made a version of this, although I was very loose with the recipe: 8lb 2 row 2lb crystal 20 2lb flaked corn 152F mash OG was low at about 1.58, apparently corn may not mash well, or my process got screwed up. Not sure on FG because I am using a refractometer. 14g 60min citra 7g 30min cascade...
