    Dual 120V Electric Brewing Controller

Thanks for the reply! I actually purchased the TA4 before I realized that it didn't provide manual element control, so I'm working with that. I am planning on using this as the manual temperature controller. What you say about the power to the PID and the LED connections makes perfect sense -...

    Dual 120V Electric Brewing Controller

I'm sure there's already a post addressing this, but I haven't been able to find it. I'm designing an electric brewing controller with the following characteristics: - Dual 120V 1500W heating elements - Pump control - Element 1 is straight on/off at full power - Element 2 is able to switch...

1 gallon batch at 1.070 with White Labs vial

Even with a high OG, you won't need a starter with a one-gallon batch. In fact, you're probably over-pitching to put an entire vial into a one-gallon batch.

Is beersmith powerful enough to make recipes?

If you can't find a clone recipe to start from, it might make more sense to work from an existing recipe for a similar style, and then modify some of the ingredients to better match the style characteristics of the beer you're working towards. Three pounds of Carafoam seems like an awful lot to...
