    What to do in Vegas

The wife and I are planning a trip with some friends to go to Vegas in October. What are some beer-related (brewery, bar, etc..) places we must visit while we're there? What are some non-beer-related places we must visit while we're there? None of us have ever been before.

    Homebrewing Needs a Woman's Touch

Just to be clear, I never claimed anything good to be in Wichita. I like all Kansas' cities equally, it's just pretty low on my list of things that I like.

    Slacker vs Pandora

    1) Spotify 2) iHeartRadio (mostly for the benefits of being able to listen to talk radio from around the country) 3) Slacker 4) Pandora Pandora may be the most popular, it's been one of the worst streaming services for quite some time.

    Must Go Places in Nashville

Oh man. Another Way to Rye was absolutely superb. Creepy Dunkel and Infidelis Helles were my 2nd two favorites.

Does your LHBS acknowledge your custom?

My LHBS is garbage. It's run by people who, although they know what they're talking about, don't give a **** about anything. I've been in a couple times, and they're completely unwilling to answer questions or help anyone. They seem entirely disinterested in everything that happens in their...

Do we "think" too much about brewing beer?

My wife has never accused me of thinking too much.

    Extract Smoked Porter

I'm dying to do a smoked porter, and I'm planning on it being the next beer I do. I've been doing a lot of reading, and I keep finding conflicting stories on steeping smoked malts. One half says that smoked malts can't be steeped, the other half says that they can. So which is it?

Red Beer (as in beer + tomato juice)

Whenever my wife and I go to Twin Peaks, it's usually for thier $1.99 MGD's. But the only way that I can drink them down is to add tomato juice, but it's pretty damn good.

    Must Go Places in Nashville

We hit up the following breweries while we were down in Nashville. Yazoo Brewing Company Turtle Anarchy Brewing Company Cool Springs Brewery Blackstone Brewing Company Yazoo was hands down our favorite brewery, and had our favorite beer, a smoked porter named Sue. This place is a...

    Brewery names--what's your story?

It was easily my favorite from our trip. Sadly I didn't bring home nearly as much as I should have. I guess that just means I need to schedule another trip to go back down there. Shouldn't be too hard since the Mrs. absolutely loved Nashville.

    Brewery names--what's your story?

My wife and I just visited Nashville over Memorial Day. There's a brewery down there called Yazoo Brewing that named their smoked porter Sue. It's affectionately called A Beer Named Sue.

Funny things you've overheard about beer

This thread is exactly why I go out of my way to not talk to other people when I'm at a drinking establishment.
