I have purchased all welded ports. They were spike kettles. They were quite reasonable for what they were. Sure it was a little more expensive but easier to clean and less chance of leakage/failure during a brewday.
i was faced this decision when building my all grain equipment. when you compare the cost of the tube/dome false bottom they are similar in price. IMO i always buy the good equipment first mainly that if you cheep out and regret paying the the better equipment you wish you had the money back...
Its quite easy. Just select the add grain button on the right side of the screen and select the grain and quantity of grain you would like to add to the recipe
we will be using nfl.com i will set the league up tonight and let you know the draft day. i am capping the league at 8 teams. one of the terms which must be agreed by all participants is to send the champion at least two bomber bottles of commercial/homebrew.
Anyone interested in starting a league this year? I am thinking 10-12 person league. No money to join, winner takes all. Everyone pays the winner in comercial beer /homebrew of their choosing.
let me know the season will start soon
