    Blichmann Top Tier Burner Review

The Blichmann Top Tier Burner commands a premium price, which may put a lot of people off. When you can get a burner for $29.99 that does an adequate job of heating wort, why pay five times that amount for equipment that does essentially the same thing? I too was skeptical at first, and started...

Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

So the brew went really well. Hit the numbers but slightly under 5 gals in the fermenter. The bee's are terrible and two of them ended up in the fermenter after the boil:( I fished one out but missed the other and he's still in there. At least I hope it was a bee and not a fly. I only got a...

Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

I have the same question as I have overcarbed some of my beers. Even when using N.B.'s chart. I am brewing this one today and would hate to ruin it on the final stage. 1.8 vol. is that correct? So to those that bottle could you share your carbonation secrets, please? Thank you. also--...

    Beersmith Carbonaton Calculation

Interesting... I just tasted the first bottle of my 9.8 gallon batch of Nut Brown Ale. First time using Beersmith instead of the N. B. calculator and it's way over carbonated. To bad, it's drinkable but nothing I care to share with anybody

    New Glarus

Their Fat Squirrel was my go to beer until they made it seasonal. This year it seems to lack something... I'm with MNSmitty, Moon Man doesn't do much for me. My ALL TIME favorite from them was a seasonal, or special called "Smoke on the Porter"

American Porter Bert Grant's Perfect Porter tribute

I tasted it before carbonating and it was strong on smoke and light on vanilla. We'll see in a week or so

American Porter Bert Grant's Perfect Porter tribute

Mine's two weeks in the primary. I really like Vanilla but still don't really know the recommended ratio to add. I think I'll skip the secondary racking. Possibly add the vodka infused vanilla bean scrapings (24 hrs old) now, and or some of the Madagascar vanilla at bottling? What do you all...

    Let us brew...

http://discussions.probrewer.com/showthread.php?41986-Authentic-Farmhouse-Brewery-in-Western-WI-For-Sale I could almost swing this, but it would wipe out all my savings. What a great adventure this would be.

    Summer of '84

28 years old, 10 years out of the U.S.M.C. and prepping to get married on 6-2-84. Still married... Back then it was Stroh's beer, with the occasional Becks.

British Brown Ale Fat Squirrel clone

Looks like N. B. only has Caravienne (sp?) in 50 pound bags :( Those who know more then this noob, please advise a nice substitute. Thank you! FoamFollower (A transplanted yooper from Escanaba)

In line filter for Co2 needed?

Bah! I'll do without and enjoy my beer. New to kegging have not even done one yet, hence the silly question.

In line filter for Co2 needed?

Maybe pointless, but I work with gasses and I know they are not pure unless stated. My only concerns would be bits of metal (tiny, tiny of course) and especially traces of Mercaptan and H2s. Can't filter out any residual air... Thanks for the link but at $125.00 or more, I think I'll pass

In line filter for Co2 needed?

Thank you fellow brewers. I guess if I can figure out what to use I will filter

In line filter for Co2 needed?

Does anyone filter their Co2? I know it couldn't hurt, but is it necessary? I have searched but can't find anything on this. Thanks in advance.
