    unscented detergents?

    I rinse out all my gear right after I'm done with it. This makes cleaning really easy. I use oxyclean free to clear the gear. But, I "recycle" the oxyclean. The rinsing gets most gunk off and the oxyclean gets the rest. Then, I pour the oxyclean into a tub for the next batch. It really cuts down...

    Juicing the fruit for strawberry beer

    I have done this recipe twice. I used frozen whole strawberries each time just like recipe calls for. I added the strawberries to the secondary and then racked onto them. Use a blow off tube.

    I learned to do the primary in my 6 gallon better bottle. Then, I put the strawberries in my bucket and transferred to the bucket. Using the bucket as the secondary allowed for easier cleaning as far as getting strawberries out and in.

    I followed this to the letter. Wow! It is by far the favorite now at my house. I use a blow off tube with the strawberry addition. I guess the yeast loves the strawberries. I know I do. :fro:
