Thanks! Part of me isn't sure if I should take it still haha! Cheers! PP - that makes me feel better. I've been dating someone for 3 years now and she'll be in med school, so she cannot come. But I'll be on carte blanche as well and will have free travel to see family or have her fly over...

I'm back again. I just accepted a position in the UK for a year.... I may be converting back to 1 gallon batches. :(

Long time away from the forum, hope all is well. Currently trying to make my kegerator look a little nicer and seeing how i can implement some Arduino into my brew world. Cheers!!

    My Fermentation Chamber Build

I had a similar issue when making mine... And yes, I did use the magnetic strips for sealing. I ended up moving the door out a 1/4" because the "seal" on the door kept getting caught on the frame causing the door to open back up after closing. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to chat about it.

    Show Us Your Label

Simple. Doesn't have to be a fancy label IMO. Looks good mate. Cheers! Wow! How did you make the beast?! Nice job!

    Show Us Your Label

I agree. I haven't spent enough time with ps to really understand how to refine and enhance the smooth lettering.... I need time, but wanted to get external opinion on the concept! I like your idea of using a rounded c for the handle... I used the same font for both "c" 's just because... I'll...

So.. this isn't yet a label... that's in the works as well! I've been messing around with a bunch of random ideas, but I like the potential of this design. I'd appreciate some feedback before I continue to re-learn/experiment with PS.

    What do you ride??

Looks like a pretty sweet setup you have there! Just need a couple more for a bike per day system.

    Why do you home brew?

I agree. Brew day is the most relaxing day of my week. Proper preparation makes the day stress free. Even when I mess up, it's still beer.... can't say that about all of my other DIY hobbies.

    Hello from Alpharetta GA!!

Welcome! I think we're on the similar pages! I started brewing about a year and a half ago with kegs, but I've bottled a batch or two since. I also lurked the reddit sub for a while and decided to make an account last week... I have not split a batch yet, but was thinking about doing it with in...

I assume you plan on kegging those 2 batches? Should be a blast. Good luck on the build and welcome to the forum! Stay warm wherever the great white is for you!

Two days without a post?! What's going on!? I accidentally backed up and hit my front panel on an I-Beam, doh! But, I actually just whispered a curse or two... and calmly parked my truck and inspected my damage. I guess we all make mistakes? I decided to make a batch of beer the next morning to...

I like it Dan. I don't miss the cold down here in Louisiana, but I miss the leaves changing... Luckily I'll be up north with family for the turkey! Update: was able to pick up the goods! The guy was super nice and I got a steal of a deal. So many goodies! A birthday gift for myself!

    My first EVER brew

Spot on! I'd like to emphasize #3. ALL TEMPS. Even the "cooler" pitching and fermentation temperatures. Don't want to shock your yeast or create off flavors!
