    So call me crazy but im looking at building a small cooling unit for a 5gal corny keg and my wife doesnt want me to build a jocky box or put in a spare refrigerator. Crazy right? I know it is. SO im looking at making one. ABout what size cooler should fit a 5gal corny keg?

    Infection?

    It really depends on the amount of fermentable sugars that are left in the beer. Just because the hydrometer reading says 1.020 that doesn't mean that there are any fermentable sugars left. There could be non fermentable sugars. I would like everyone else says wait a few days and take another...

    Layers of Fermentation.

    It depends on the type of yeast that you used. In my experience ( all 10 beers that ive made ) its perfectly normal.

    First attempt: Klingon Blood Wine

    I was looking to do a Blood wine and a Romulan Ale here in the near future. If you don't mind, could you shoot me over the recipie that you used and do you have any suggestions as to how the Romulan Ale? From what I can gather from the tv shows and movies its more like a wine than anything else...

    I forgot to mention also that I added 2lbs of cormn sugar also when it started. It tastes fine like i said before. It actually tastes pretty dry as it is. Ill probably just clear it and drink it as it is. Now do i need to degass it when i go to bottle it or should I just leave it as is? Alswo...

    How many Gallons of Mead in 2013

    +5 gallons of a vanilla mead +1 gallon of a Strawberry mead = 1098 gallons
