    Ssbrewtech ekettle controller?

Blichmann sells the halo style elements as well. I don't think you'll have any compatibility issues with that combo!

    SS Brewtech's Mill

The problematic Barley Crusher is US made. The Cereal Killer mill is chinese made and so far has proven to be more reliable than the Barley Crusher

A not so successful Wit. What went wrong?

The poor efficiency may be a result of not properly rehydrating the grist. Stir more at dough-in, 3-5 minutes worth. I use a 24" whisk to stir and chop through the mash. I've made many Wits with the same grain bill and have never had a problem, using both BIAB and a Grainfather. The bigger the...

    Grainfather boil

Insulate with the graincoat or reflectix, don't use an extension cord, put the lid on partially, and most importantly, relax! You don't need a volcanic boil.

Since this is a blend, do you experience any drift or changes through multiple generations when reusing the yeast?

    Grainfather!!

Interesting. On the Grainfather website under warranty they say: If you purchased this from a stockist, as your receipt of purchase is with them, the retail store will be your point of contact for repairs/replacements. and To make a warranty claim, if you have purchased online from us, contact...

RoboBrew, Grainfather or High Gravity Brew System

If time is the primary driver go with the 240v BIAB system. Waiting for underpowered 110v systems and sparging are big time sucks.

    Grainfather!!

Not mine. Straight into a dedicated 20amp GFCI protected circuit. It's the cheap receptacle that's only rated for a 15 amp circuit that they used.

    Grainfather!!

Dum, dum, dum, Another one bites the dust! Plugging the recipe into the laptop this morning and smelled burning. Turned around to a smoking controller. The worst part is I was making a kettle sour :(

    Grainfather!!

The finer crush can definately lead to compaction in a recirculating system. Also, things can come out of adjustment. Your mill could have tightened up more. I remove the top screen and stir about 1/2 way through the mash. This helps with efficiency and loosens up the bed, with enough time left...

    Grainfather!!

That amount of rice hulls probably absorbed a ton of the mash liquor. 2# is a crazy amount! I usually use about a .5#(I don't measure, just throw in a few handfulls), even in wheat beers without a problem. Try using less rice hulls, or if you want to stick with that amount, presoak them so they...

    Rye pale ale

Why not just go with an even 2# rye for simplicity?

    First Flanders Red questions

1st gen Roeselare is kind of a lightweight, adding pitchable dregs from other sours will help increase the complexity needed for a good Flanders Red. Corking vs capping? Cork for tradition and presentation, along with increased work and expense. Cap for for cheap and easy.
