Worst Commercial Beer You've Ever Had?

This would have been my response sans the buying it in cans. In full disclosure, I've only had Stella given to me by a relative who had bought the enclosed 12 pack and shared them with me. I'd be interested to do that side by side comparison of purposefully exposed stella

    AB Super Bowl Ad

this is what I'm trying to get at in the OTHER bud hate/discussion thread. Too many people get a stick up their ass about something so inconsequential. I get people like beer and to talk about beer. But why do they have to turn it in to this cliquey, club thing.

    My Letter to Budweiser

Yup, always someone to have a modicum of balance in a clearly biased and bigoted forum. Just because you can make a RIS aged in bourbon barrels with cacao nibs at 8.9%, blah blah blah doesn't mean you are better than others. Plus, I'm not defending bud as a pinnacle example of high flavor, prime...

    My Letter to Budweiser

While I will say that this was very well written, I think we need to acknowledge that beers, like music, art, hairstyles, and porn are all created and designed with a specific audience in mind. This sense of insult people take on because budweiser makes a certain type of product that some may...

Talk to me about 3 gallon batches

As my time becomes more of a commodity now that I have a kid, smaller batches are becoming more of an appealing idea. Smaller batch means less material needed on hand, less time overall, and easier handling of the process in general.

    Mid Hudson Valley, CT Round#9

I'd be interested in a Hartford area group effort as well. I don't have much opportunity to travel, so help would be appreciated. If so, I'd be in for: 1 sack MO 1/2 sack Munich 1/2 sack wheat

    Pasta Roller Grain Mill?

There are threads about this. I've made one. You need to gouge up the rollers with a big drill bit for it to bite into the grain. Using a hand drill, it works. But be prepared to take some time if you need to mill a big grain bill. Adjustments are minimal. But I found it works relatively well...

Best type of wedding ring for opening beers

This thread made me laugh. That said, mine is a Scott Kay cobalt ring. The comfort fit is great but makes opening a bottle tough.

    Engineered wasted wort

A lot of it depends on consistency in practice Get a high rolling boiling is the first element. I do use Irish moss in all of my beers, too. Then, chill quickly. Cold crashing isn't possible, nor is accurately controlled (I don't have fancy ferm chambers and whatnot.) fermentation temps. So the...

New England Grain Buy Sept 2014

My work schedule prevents me from being able to get to the rally point. If someone from the Hartford area is already in on this deal, I'd appreciate help in bringing this back to Hartford area.
