    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

@treacheroustexan: I find that it works well, but after looking at the BBS page, they say "Dissolve 3 tablespoons honey with 1/2 cup water" I have had good results with that in the past with no bottle bombs.

Sadu: Which calculator are you using to determine how much sugar? I'm still using the BBS method of about 3tbsp/1 cup of boiled water which gets added to the one gallon of wort, in a similar method you're using.

ericbw: https://www.growlerwerks.com/ Sadu: How are you setting carbonation levels? By measuring sugar into each bottle?

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a better/efficient method to move the wort from fermenter into bottles? Right now I use a racking cane to move from fermenter into a bottling pot (with sugar) and then from there into bottles. Is there a better/more automated method? Or a cheaper...

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

If I want to do a BIAB for a 1-gallon batch, what is the recommended size of brew pot? Would it be 8quart, or can I get away with 6? My apartment has fairly small shelves, so trying to go with the smallest possible. Cheers

    Pastrami smell.. And flavor?

I brewed this Pumpkin Saison http://beersmithrecipes.com/viewrecipe/575871?&doid=5477eb0149d95 On October 5, and just bottled it today. I noticed when bottling it had quite a bit of a pastrami smell. There was about a glass left, in tasting it, it's quite pastrami-y. It's not bad, if you like...

My Ugly Junk- Corona Mill Station...

This might be a dumb question, but do you disassemble your mill and wash it after each time you use it?

Unfortunately all the hops additions were messed up. Once I've let it age, what signs should I look for to know its ready? Or basically once it smells palatable?

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

I know a few jewelry supply shops or even a head shop that might have scales that go down to 2 decimal places. As much as I don't want to handle all the pellets, I was just thinking I could take a package of one ounce, and then divide it like this. - take a full oz.. - divide it in half (0.5) -...

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

Hi folks -- two questions about scaling and over-hopping. I brewed BM's centennial ale yesterday (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f66/centennial-blonde-simple-4-all-grain-5-10-gall-42841/). I scaled the recipe in Beersmith from 5Gal to 1. It scaled the hops down to 0.04oz. When I brewed it, I...

Whoa, that's a lot of yeast. I gotta figure out how to make this happen.

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

That's good to know. I wasn't sure if it was worthwhile/feasible on a small scale. I'll have to look into this! I have about 7 1-gallon jugs going, and it's getting expensive to keep re-buying (and shipping) yeast!

Even on a one gallon brew do you do a yeast wash and harvest it?

Wow, that's great! I'll plug it into BeerSmith and adjust scale if need be. Many thanks!
