    DIY Fermentation Chamber

Yep! I can't believe I left that out above. A small USB powered computer fan sits in the back of the fridge and helps to make temps more consistent.

The build detailed above works very well. I've had it running for over a year now, no issues whatsoever. I haven't pushed it to the limits but I've had 4 5-gallon batches in there at a time, and I've pushed the temp down to 52*F in the summer. The heat exchanger portion of the fridge is left...

Hahah, yea, it got really hot really fast inside, if she didn't let me out we'd have a problem for sure. I haven't had any issues with the foam being sticky. It does take some finesse to get a bucket out (I can't just grate it along the surface of the foam without doing some damage, so a layer...

    Fruit Beer Lemon-Lime Hefe Weizen

Hey SD, Looks like another person had the same issue I'm currently having. 20 days in primary and gravity is at 1.021. I understand your recommendation is to rack to a different fermenter to get rid of the current yeast cake and pitch a packet of dry safeale US-05. Question - do I need to...

Oops, totally meant limeade, not yeast. Wondering if I should add the limeade now :)

    Fruit Beer Lemon-Lime Hefe Weizen

I've always been suspect of my airlock activity (brewing in a 6.5gal plastic ale pail bucket). Did anyone check their gravity before adding the limeade? I am 44 hours post pitch, no real blow-off activity, nice layer of foam in bucket (no discernible bubbling). OG was 1.052, now I'm sitting...
