    Kegging question... where's the alcohol?

Kev... thanks, I assumed that was the case... don't prime and force carbonate.

    Kegging question... where's the alcohol?

Texas... I get that there is no need to prime, but, is priming before kegging an option to carbonate? I'm just confused why you wouldn't prime prior to kegging if the keg will not be tapped for a few weeks.

    Kegging question... where's the alcohol?

I'm a "experienced" novice at brewing. Probably about a half dozen extract batches and maybe four all-grain batches. All bottled, all very tasty. Thinking of going to a keg on a future batch. I prime the beer before bottling which I assumed finished off the alcohol production and provided...

    Rental brewery facility

Yeah, I think I asked the wrong way Chris. You are exactly right. It would be a place to learn basics to see if it was for you. Not for the homebrewer that already has experience.

    Rental brewery facility

Anyone have any experience with a "commercial" homebrewing facility that a person can rent equipment to use on site to brew their own? I'm interested in how this might work on a small scale with the right equipment. Have you or would you use a space that allowed you to hone your skills with...

Brita filters: What do they filter?

This has more to do with softened water than filters, but... Since moving my brew equipment into the basement I have been using tap water from near my laundry. I didn't realize that was a problem until reading this thread. The last three brews I did are softened water (Nut Brown Ale, Smoked...

    Efficiency?

I've got a Smoked Porter in primary and I am wondering about efficiency. Efficiency ratios give you an idea of how much of the starches available in a grain bill are converted to fermentable sugars, right? So if my OG is 1061 and finishes at 1015 what does that tell me about my efficiency of...

Flat AG English Brown Ale - kinda...

Success! I moved the bottles upstairs and gained a few degrees. After a couple days the bottle I opened was noticeably improved. It should only get better. Thanks for the input.

Wisconsin Control components, PID, SSR & Heatsink, RTD PT100

I'm holding off for now on offering these components. Didn't realize the response would be so fast and I am still waiting for the RDT ST100 probe to arrive (on a slow boat from you know where). I promised the first person that offered to buy the first shot at it when I get it. Sorry, I jumped...
