    There is a shop in Victoria called Hamilton Hops and Grains. If you are on facebook, there is a homebrew group based out of Vic called brewvic. There are likely people on there that could help you find s more local shop...

    First brew of lager.

    I don't know what you mean by 2 litre demijohn, but I wonder if it is suitable for bottling... My understanding (and limited experience so far) is that room temp takes about 2 to 3 weeks to see decent carbonation build up. Patience ... :)

    Curious about a plum wine

    This sounds like it might be similar to (same as??) umeshu , which is a plum/apricot infused liquor. A homemade version can be made with vodka, unripe plums or apricots, and hard rock sugar, left in a closed vessel for months.

    Hello I am new to homebrew, and to the island,. I am in Victoria, and found a helpful group of Vic area brewers on FB called BrewVic. HamiltonHops and Grains in Vic seems to be the most often recommended local shop. cheers!
