    I am thinking about buying the cereal killer it is 99 and I have a 10 certificate. My LHBS has a special on 50lbs bags of base malt. All signs are pointing to buying a grain mill. Is it worth the expense and time to store and crush. My lhbs is only a mile from my house. Opinions are welcome.

    Is it ok to make a double starter

    I am making a 10 gallon double batch of Northern Brewer's Brickwarmers ale with a 1.062 OG. I would like to double my starter with 2 packs of wyeast london ale and double DME and water and place on a stir plate and brew on Sat. Any help would be great.

    Help, My thermometer is broken

    I am in the process if brewing a cream ale and I just realized that my digital thermometer is broken. It is reading about 25 degrees lower. I did not realize it until 40 minutes into mashing. I heated up some water and I am at about 135 now. I was at 125. Any advice would be great.
