co2 regulator creep - keg blown: better regulator

I replaced my co2 tank after a nice long time and twice it's creeped and blown the kegs. The first time I thought it was (idiot) user error but I think the regulator's shot. It's a cheap regulator that came with a "kegging starter kit" so I'd prefer to toss the heap and get a good/better/best...

Keg conditioning - cold or room temp?

I just kegged a DIPA. It smells wonderful - it tastes like rubber bands. I'm thinking (a.k.a. My hope) is that a good 3 weeks or more in the keg and it'll be drinkable. (Though I may be screwed on the hop aroma and flavor, but if I have to choose between Hoppy Rubber Band Fight In Your Mouth...

It's alive! (fermentation reboot after moving carboy)

It's fermenting at around 67 degrees. Luckily a San Francisco basement holds it's temperature fairly well.

It's alive! (fermentation reboot after moving carboy)

I have an extract Pliny clone that had a robust fermentation for the week, then by day 14, the airlock was dead. On day 19 I dry hopped. On day 23, I moved the carboy to my in-law kitchen counter, getting ready to cold crash after everything settles from the (what I thought was) a gentle walk...

How long will a tapped keg last?

Out of curiosity, keggers, how long have you kept around a homebrew on tap? My guess it that you could keep it (refrigerated homebrew) about as long as the comparable bottled homebrew, but I've never tried that experiment. Anyone jump through that hoop?

    Hello from SF

Hi Everybody - I started home brewing about 6 weeks ago and having a lot of fun. I have my first beer in a corny keg (Blonde Ale) and it's pretty good though it's still carbing and conditioning. I have a Pliny The Elder clone fermenting now which I'm more excited about. This forum has...
