Is My Lager Ready for Lagering?

Thanks everyone. Checked it again this morning and gravity is still at 1.011, and the bubbles from the airlock have slowed to one every 45 seconds or so. I'll be racking it this afternoon and lowering the temperature to lager. Really appreciate all of the input... this place is great!

Is My Lager Ready for Lagering?

Awesome, thanks. This is my first Lager so I'm hoping to not screw it up too bad haha. I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon and then go ahead and rack & lager before heading to the airport. Appreciate it!

Is My Lager Ready for Lagering?

Thanks Guys, My understanding was to do the D-Rest when you hit about 80% of fermentaion, which I should have achieved at 1.020. I was also hoping to speed things up a little also and finish out that last 20%, knowing I was up against a deadline. Since the diacetyl taste is basically gone...

First Partial Mash Experience & Issues

Thanks Ben & Chicky... definitely will keep my posts shorter in the future, but I just wanted to make sure to "paint the whole picture" on this one because of the multiple different things that went wrong along the way. I think I'll use gelatin in the secondary on this batch to maybe counteract...

First Partial Mash Experience & Issues

Reading about this some more and searching for "Torrified Wheat Mini Mash", now I am even more concerned that I made a critical mistake. It appears that a partial mash of Torrified Wheat by itself may not contain the enzymes necessary to convert the starches into sugars, as it is not malted but...

First Partial Mash Experience & Issues

Long time reader, first time poster. Sorry it's a novel: I just recently did my first brew in about 10 years (partial-mash) and had a few issues during the process. I had only done a few extract recipes in the past with decent success (one failure due to poor sanitization), but I'm back at it...
