    Citra IPA recipe critque

    I'm cheap, so I'd be hesitant to spend $25+ on hops for a single batch, but I suppose that is what you have to do for an DIPA. I'd swap out the 60 min with a magnum (same qty), reduce the dry to 1 oz. I might add a 30 min of 1 oz of citra and reduce the 5 and 0 quantities to 1.5. I also agree...

    Midwest Supplies

    I got my shipment today after ordering on Saturday. They refunded my shipping and then upgraded me to overnight. So, I feel like they made it right, but it was still annoying that I had to call them 3 times to get it done.

    Is beano a bad idea?

    I haven't used beano, but I have used amylase enzyme. It does get the gravity down, but it can be difficult to control. I would use only a little bit to begin with, maybe about 1/8th to 1/4th teaspoon to begin with.

    Their prices aren't good enough that I am willing to put up with these kinds of delays. When I contacted them yesterday they told me it would ship that day. It didn't. Even worse, when I contacted them today, they told me they didn't know when it would ship. They wouldn't upgrade me to next day...
