I told a few people at work that I was looking for empties. Within a matter of weeks word had spread and I had to tell them to stop. I have about 250 regular empties and about a dozen bombers sitting in my garage waiting for me to brew. And brew. And brew. And brew. And brew.

Just an idea...if you're doing a 5g batch, you could probably cut it down to 2.5g and use the savings to pay for the bottling bucket. Yeah, that's less beer this time, but you'll be happier in the future. This is assuming you're brewing extract, which, since this is in the beginner's forum...

I was able to get the hopper on with a piece of scrap wood and a mallet. Pretty sure its not coming off any time soon.

Even if you bottle directly from your fermenter, if you add the sugar, you're going to need to get it mixed in with your beer and that's going to stir up trub and also potentially lead to oxidation. Not what you want to be bottling. When your beer is done fermenting, what is your normal...

Not trying to threadjack, but... I ordered the same mill, did you have any fitment issues getting the hopper on? Mine will not go on, the little nubs don't line up with the indentations on the hopper. I e-mailed AHB a week ago today and haven't gotten a response back. Was wondering how yours is.
