    I really don't know yet. I'm just wanting a cream ale with a banana flavoring. Tried some of Wells banana beer the other day and was wanting to brew something with banana flavor.

    Blow off tube

    I've never had to use a blow off tube until today when I got home from work. The lid on the fermenter is bulging and lots of pressure. What's the odds of the lid popping off??

    Ill let it go and try it. When I go to rack it to the bottling bucket what do I do. This is my first infected beer so im still learning.

    I added spices in the secondary as well. Did yours look this way?? I havent tried a sample but I smelt it and it smells like beer.

    I am pretty sure I had everything sanitized but sanitation was a probably my problem.

    A pumpkin ale. Its was in the primary for 8 days and its been in the secondary for 7 days now. When I racked it, it didnt look like this.

    I smelt it and it smells like beer. How long would you let it run its course?? Sorry if im asking silly questions still fairly new to homebrewing.

    Anyway to salvage this beer?? I added three cans of pumpkin during the boil process so I wouldnt think that would have affect it.

    I brewed the pumpkin ale this afternoon. My og was 1.050. The instructions said og should range from 1.042-1.046. I guess I messed up somewhere.
