I did 1lbs of syrup to a 5gallon boil. I poured it right into my start boil. The porter taste great I also added a day before bottling 4oz of oak soaked Makers Mark chips.
I going on to my secondary and was thinking of adding coffee , cinnamon and vanilla to it. Was wondering what any thought about that. Anyone give me an idea of what kind of roast on the coffee I should use. Thanks for the input.
