Soda stream syrups to make keg

Just wondering has anyone tried using the syrups they sell for the soda stream to mix up a 5 gallon keg to put in the kegerator? My wife is looking for diet Pepsi on tap.

    Black currants in a stout

Thanks! I think I did a pretty good job haha. As does my family, we were legit talking about this tonight. Reminiscing about it almost two years later. I’m going to pick some tomorrow and try to do it again

    Black currants in a stout

I used a quart sized mason jar worth of purée. I picked probably 4-5 cups of currents and just put them in the food processor till it was puréed

In my experience the treatment was a routine of spraying poison on the floors along all walls in the place. They’d do it once a month for several months. This was when I lived in an apartment. I guess the landlord had a contract so I didn’t pay for it.

    Black currants in a stout

The best I can. It’s got that classic oatmeal stout feel. Creamy and balance by some almost Smokey and fairly strong chocolate and coffee. But then the funky, sour flavour from the currants sneaks in. Black currants flavour is hard to describe. It’s one of them tastes you just gotta try. Funky...

Since it’s impossible to catch up on the 1 plus years I kinda went inactive on this thread in particular but also life in general, I’d like to say Hi, and maybe even welcome myself back. It’s been too long but life has a way of interrupting things so hello everyone

    Black currants in a stout

Tonight I just kegged a batch of black currant oatmeal stout. I feel the need to share the results. It was amazing. Top two or three stouts I’ve had. Has anyone used black currant in stout before here? Here’s the grains/hops I used. It’s not in the fancy style of beersmith or brew target but...

What kind of coupler is this?

hello, this passed weekend I picked up some older corny kegs and draft supplies from a friend. The one thing I'm curious about is this coupler. I feel it's probably some sort of brewery keg style but I can't find anything about it It says micromatic B6 on the side

    Carbing in Amber pet bottles

I kinda figured. I used I think it was 160g for 23 litres. It's about the average I use for pale ales.

    Carbing in Amber pet bottles

I figured. I batch carb before I bottle so when I do 23 litres it should be the same no matter what I put it in right?

    Carbing in Amber pet bottles

Hey, I just purchased 48x1liter Amber plastic bottles from my lhbs and the guy told me I needed to use extra priming sugar compared with using glass? I'd never heard this before. He said if I use an average of 180g for glass bottles I should use about 200-220 for plastic..?

Dan, the highwaymen concert you posted, I've watched about 20 times in my short life, favorite video on youtube I think. I never heard that about Johnny and Kris, two of my favorite country music guys. You're full of useful knowledge eh?
