Best ipad app for new brewer

Yes, that is the formal name to look for in the App Store. Once installed, it just goes by BeerSmith 2. Not quite the same as the PC version, but good enough to use as a standalone product. The editing feature in V2 of the iPad app is a great upgrade.

Best ipad app for new brewer

The ipad app is also called BeerSmith 2. They released v2 earlier this year. The cloud recipe integration is great. It allows me to access my recipes from phone, PC, or iPad.

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

I brewed with the updated recipe, 60IBUs. My recipe used Magnum 1oz at 60min, 0.5 Centennial at 60 Min, 1oz Fuggles at 30 min, and 1 oz Fuggles at 5 min. Personally I am very happy and would not change anything.

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

Wow. Just kegged this recipe after 3 weeks in primary and the hydro sample is delicious. Still needs to age a bit and allow the flavors to meld, but is really close to the real deal. I backed off the 2-Row to 13Lbs as I wanted to stay around 7% ABV. Hit 1.072 OG and 1.019FG. Used 4Oz Cacao...

    Dry Hopping Question

Sounds great! I dryhop 5-7 days, so should come out with a great hop taste and aroma.

    Dry Hopping Question

I just let mine soak in Starsan for a few minutes before adding the hops and placing in the secondary. With 20+ dryhopped brews this way have had no infection issues.

    Bottling from the keg

However, the Blickmann beergun makes bottling quick and easy from a keg. One of the better additions to my homebrewing equipment inventory.

    NB Dead ringer

I have not tried the extract recipe, but the all grain Ringer is my house IPA. I always have a keg of it on tap. Its delicious and my favorite IPA, even over commercial IPAs. Perfect balance.

    M6 Oxygen Tank

The $9 red ones from Home Depot last about 8-9 uses for me. I oxygenate at a rolling bubble point for about 90 seconds per batch. In comparing to one time when I was out, fermentation definitely started quicker with oxygen than without.
