So I am brewing this Friday evening. Have a question.
I made a stir plate and picked a flask, and 4oz of light DME
Will a 1L starter be good?
ow long does it need to sit on the stirplate before I piych it?
Thank ya!
Had a late brewday..... started around 8pm. (ok brewnigt)
Cooking up a red rye IPA. Not as red as I wanted but I will fix that next time.
Had a blast with the kids helping and my youngest helped the most! My little 4 year old boy wanted to help the most and not watch Monsters...
So I have usually always used recipes I have found or was given....
I am about 6 all grain brews in and want to say f it and make a bigger beer. So I wrote something up. Any suggestions?
15lbs Pale 2 Row
3lbs Munich 10l
1-2 lbs dextrose
1oz Warrior First Wor
1oz Warrior @ 60
2oz...
haha the names are all great!
I am good. Just big old blisters. Lost a layer or two of skin but its just a bad 2nd deg burn. Beer is bubbling away in the basement as we speak!
I will run my hose out to run the chiller from now on.
now to pick a name from all this!!
So. Decided to make a Oatmeal stout tonight. Need to get some winter beer ready! :ban::tank:
Decided to have a few before brewing. All went great untill I had to move 6.5g of wort from my drive way to the back of the house to where I could run my wort chiller. Very quickly I learned a few...
didn't even think of that.
I was gonna pour 1 gal at a time tomorrow and mark the pot. Might as well see how fast I can boil it and what I lose in 60 min. !
I should have an empty keg for my keggle by the time the big day comes, just don't know if I will have the time to cut it up
RIP Brother, your service, friendship and Honor will never be forgotten!!!

Ok. I have about 5 extract/Partial Mash brews done. All have been great except one was a bit off but still drinkable.

I have:
7.5g pot with valve
4g pot for heating water
10g cooler for MLT
and a turkey fryer (50,000 btu)...
