    So the suggestion is wait a few days then add it? That sounds good to me :-) I'm definitely all for just throwing it on in and letting it ride, I just didn't know it is would produce any off flavors being a "very" late addition lol That's for the help folks :-)

    Its only been in primary for a week, I was unaware that the smoke would fade in time. That may be the option I go with then. I have thought that in a worse case scenario I would just cook with it ;-) My mouth is actually watering thinking if making some gizzards with this stuff lol

    +1 on the Horse Brass I love that place! The fact that they a awesome taplist and casks make it one of my favorite spots, although I always get the Choc cherry stout from Walking Man Brewing while I'm there ..followed by something else ;-)

    As a fellow Oregonian and former Springtucky resident +1 on the oakshire and ninkasi! Or anything from 10 barrel. Between those three there's always at least one on tap lol

    Oops..lol my bad, I guess I've heard it used with more then one context. Lol I get super excited about each recipe and then get real indecisive ;-) not a bad thing just my routine guess. Then definitely factor in the requests lol I do try to leap frog the requests with the other batches...

When I decide to get my beer brewin on I usually end up making 4 or 5 recipes ( because I can't decide what to make lol) then FINALLY settling on say...#3 but then brewing #4 lol soo many choices soo few fermenters!     I do indeed like the shared cost proposition, even going halves on a brew or even ask for a " beer fund donation " lol I made a few quarts of some " peach pie hooch " and gave 1 jar to a coworker...people started asking for some and I said "if ya want it, it costs me $10 a quart to make so...
