    best fresh hop for brewing

    getting ready to start laying out my hop garden at the new house.. Whats the best hop to be used fresh? I'm assuming fresh hops are best for dry hopping so i would only assume cascade?     Chivas Regal 12 on Oak chips

    Has anyone ever put or thought of putting Chivas Regal soaked oak chips into a big stout? I'm looking at adding 2 oz of oak chips soaked in Chivas Regal to my secondary and age it for 1-2 weeks and sample it along the way to make sure it doesnt get too " oaky "..
