Fridge too short, keg too tall?

I went with the Haier HBF05EBSS which is about 29 inches tall on the inside. Don

Fridge too short, keg too tall?

The keg just sits on a very thin piece of steel, so removing it wouldn't quite do the trick. Good suggestion though!

Fridge too short, keg too tall?

That fan just blows air around the inside of the kegerator. I threw it in after seeing the panel in the back ice up pretty good. I also noticed that there was almost a ten degree difference between the temps at the top and bottom of the keg. I haven't cooled the tower just yet. I'm getting...

Fridge too short, keg too tall?

Thanks for the idea of using the beer line elbow. It works perfectly!

Fridge too short, keg too tall?

That's it! Exactly what I need. :-) Thank you! :mug: Don

Fridge too short, keg too tall?

That's almost exactly what I need. It just needs to be for an "A" type coupler not the "D" type we use in the USA. :mug: Don

Fridge too short, keg too tall?

Hey there good people of HBT! I just loaded my kegerator up with a 50 liter keg of Früh and the German slider tap/coupler is just a wee bit too tall once connected to the keg and I end up with a severely kinked beer line. I've considered cutting out a little hole in the ceiling of the...

    Kegerator Recommendation?

My other hobbies seem to be taking up my time and workshop. Also my experience with the first build has me thinking it would be a bit more than 30 seconds to go from fridge to kegerator, :drunk: So the current plan is just to buy a decent unit and upgrade the taps to Perlicks. My current...

    Kegerator Recommendation?

My homebuilt is a Danby and it seems to work OK. Are there any brands that one should stay away from? Don

    Kegerator Recommendation?

Hello, I am interested in purchasing a kegerator that will hold a 50L keg of my favorite beer from Germany. I already have a homebuilt kegerator that holds two corny kegs of my homebrew. This time however, I thought I would just purchase a kegerator and skip the hassle of the build. :p There...

    Windows 8: One Hot Mess

Windows 8 is just fine by me. I installed it on my ASUS netbook the day it was released. Of course, it always takes a bit to find where they put everything in the new OS and that can be frustrating when you're trying to get work done. :drunk: But Windows 8 has been working just fine for me and I...

My shamelessly cheap $12 DIY stir plate

The other thing I did was to slip two O-rings onto the stir bar. I'm not sure if that played any part in getting it to spin properly. It sure is quiet now though. :-) Don

My shamelessly cheap $12 DIY stir plate

Have you tried adjusting the distance between the magnet and the stir bar? I had to muck about with mine for a bit before I got it just right. Don

My shamelessly cheap $12 DIY stir plate

After reading this thread last week, I immediately went to Amazon and purchased the Thermaltake usb fan unit and I couldn't be happier. :D I completely removed the fan shroud and the speed control knob. The fan was attached to the base of the box using double sided sticky tape. I used the...

    Kegerator Conversion with Danby DAR440BL?

Cheers! :mug: Does your model have supports for the shelves that plug into brackets along the back or does it use molded supports on the sides of the fridge? I bought the one from Costco and it has the molded supports which I had to cut out in order to fit two corny kegs. I posted some...

    Danby DAR044

I picked up the Danby DAR044A2SLDD from Costco for $149 hoping to set it up with a twin tap tower. Based on some of the kegerator conversions I've seen online for similar Danby models I didn't expect much of a problem. I knew that I was going to have to modify the door. Following the pictures...

    Kegerator Conversion with Danby DAR440BL?

Looks like it's going to be OK. I just gave the wire a bit of a tug and moved it over. :)
