Does anyone else think Sam Adam's beer sucks

I find their beers hit or miss, most of them i generally don't like that much. but there are a few types that are not that bad.. most of their IPA's I tend to enjoy. (Latitude 48 IPA, Whitewater IPA, Double Agent ). However i cannot stand the Noble Pils. To me it tastes like a hoppy bud light.

what do you do with your bad batches

I typically will try to age it for a little bit longer, If the flavor does not improve I will just dump it.. Those kegs are better used for something that has great flavor. I've only had to dump 2 batches so far out of around 50+ now.

    Important Statement From Midwest Supplies

I still have a few doubts that they are taking the matters seriously. Their first issue is storing CCV numbers in their database. This is a no-no in the PCI world. Also their website still seems pretty insecure, as even their forums are to this day running an old outdated version with multiple...

    Important Statement From Midwest Supplies

I got the letter today about the issues, I'm still baffled as to why it took this long for Midwest to fess up. despite them saying over and over that it's not them. Now the one thing i noticed that i thought was a no-no for any PCI shop was storing the CCV numbers in the database in which the...

    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

Just tried a sample using a 50-50 of Maris Otter and 2-Row split. It does taste good, and will still be heavily enjoyed.. however i don't think MO compliments this one that well.. for those interested I would stick with the recipe and use all 2-row for your base. But that/s just my 2c, take...

Hop Spider...How Big do I Need?

I'm using his hop spider and love it!! Just talk to them when you order it and they will totally work with you to get the right fit for your kettle. I'm using a 20 gallon megapot, which is very wide and they helped me in getting the exact fit I wanted. Now as stated above using a fine mesh...

    Midwest Supplies

I seriously doubt that.. Here the weakest link is the midwest webserver. I doubt that the backend processing system is compromised since it's from a well trusted financial institution. Midwest uses a token based system so CC numbers may not be stored in their database, however there is a...

    WTF Happened To BTV?

I'm just hoping that Dawson will continue to make appearances on C&B. It was really never stated if that was a one time appearance of if there will be plenty more in the future. And I could not even finish watching the latest episode of Brew TV.

    Midwest Supplies

Between the shipping issues, and the fraud charges on my card I won't be shopping there anymore, which is too bad because I enjoyed their kits. But what really gets to me is the pure lack of communication from the vendor. I've sent emails, etc.. and nothing..

    Bottle Conditioning for 7.5% IPA

I always go by this model which has worked pretty well for me. OG:.......................Bottle Condition Time Less Than 1.040......2 Weeks 1.040 - 1.055..........4 Weeks 1.055 - 1.080..........6-8 Weeks
