    I think my thermostat is busted... I turned the screw all the way to the right but the compressor stays on... last temp reading -31c... :eek:

    I also have a Magic Chef Model # HMCF7W2. I am unsure which is the coarse set screw. See pictures... I have adjusted (all the way clockwise) the screw from the 3rd pic (white cable) without much changes.. Please advise. Thanks
