    Bad year for hops?

    Hop harvest is done and there looks like there are little or no Amarillo on the market. Drought was bad in Yakima so could be a bad year for 2015 hops. Found Simcoe, Mosaic at Freshops but things look like slim pickings right now.

    Grain prices at Northern

    What's the deal with grain prices at Northern Brewer? Gone up considerably over past few months. Still reasonable at Midwest. Also email deals for NB and Midwest are all the same. Sounds like maybe one acquired the other. Not good if a sack of Golden Promise is now selling for $90 at NB and...

    POTUS Brews?

    According to Twin Cities TV news, the "Beer Guy" from Minnesota ran into Obama in Iowa and got a bottle of beer (mead?) that supposedly was made by the prez and 1st lady. Honey from hives at the White House. Looked cloudy. How about a brew off to decide who runs the country?

    Golden Promise...What Gives?

    I know that the diastatic power over most brewers grain is quite variable, but when I have tried to calculate my mash efficiency, the data on Golden Promise runs from 120L to as low as 50L from some supplier sites. Does anyone know what the "real" DP for GP should be?:eek:
