    Coopers stout - metallic

    I've had a irish stout and treacle brew in the bottle for the last month. It tastes like tin can! Have I chuffed this batch up?

    ABV concern

    I've just done my week test and the Hydrometer has just sunk to the bottom of my tester sample!!! The brew is a coopers Irish stout with a full tin of treacle and half KG of muntons dextrose. I started around 1030 on OG (I'm dam sure) its now reading 10 on the coopers hydrometer...

    Fermentation issue?

    After a week i've got no sign of the yeast foaming and fermenting. Its a coopers stout with some treacle... Has the yeast been killed off and its useless?

    Brew left in Vessel

    Hi, I have left my brew (out of lazyness to order my bottles!) in the cask for a bit longer than usual. Now have the bottles in the next day or so arriving so is this length going to have dampened my brews potential and alcohol level?

    Sweet outcome

    Hi, I did this brew http://www.coopers.com.au/the-brewers-guild/how-to-brew/stout/best-extra-stout It's come out very nice but just a tad too sweet, i really feel it on the teeth! Will the sweetness go if I leave it a bit?

    Is 1055 going to be a strong brew? It's a dark coopers stout so I'm expecting great things!

    A little difference - toffee, coffee etc

    Hi, Went to a beer festival last week and enjoyed it, i was able to really taste a selection of fine ales and beers to get a taste of where i want my next home brew to be. So, after getting a taste i'd like to go dark with some great coffee and toffee aroma a bit like this fine one...

    Coopers kit - Fermentation query

    Hi, I've got one of these on the bubble at the moment with the basic included lager extract and all instructions followed to the tee. Currently my FG is about 10 with OG 35, it was 10 monday and a little less last night, I also have noticed its beggining to froth a bit on pour. Question...
