    The most annoying comment I have gotten so far is, "why would you brew your own beer if you can go to the corner and just buy a six pack?"

    Columbus, oh

    I love in Columbus. Anyone that comes here I always recommend Barleys Smokehouse off Dublin road. They brew their own beer( try the sampler if you go there). They also have the best wings I have ever tastes in my life and I go out of my way to get good wings. Their brisket sandwich is awesome...

    Clogged regulator or burner?

    Your regulator could be stuck. I've had this happen to me once. I fixed if by turning off the gas on my propane tank and then disconnecting the regulator. It usually happens to me in the winter time when I turn on my propane tank too fast.

    Quick question

    I did have slightly elevated fermentation temperatures the first day till I figured out how to cool it off. So I wonder if that had any affect? I also only had about 4.5 gallons of wort, I never topped it off. I'll retest Sunday and if it's good I'll start bottling.

    Quick question

    Brewed my first batch of beer on 6/2/12. It was an Irish red ale from Midwest. The kit said my OG should be 1.042 to 1.046, mine measured in at 1.053. Now almost three weeks later the FG on Tuesday this week and today is 1.020. I know the kit says 1.010 to 1.012 but I shouldn't honestly expect...

    Thought id say hi

    I've been a member for a few weeks, did a ton of reading. Last week I brewed my first beer, an Irish Red ale. SG was 1.052 and today it was 1.020. I'm guessing it will need another week or two in the fermenter but it smells great, looks great, and tastes great. Anyway thought I would...
