    Great brew day today. A friend and I brewed a 5 gallon batch of porter, a 1 gallon batch of sMasH (Belgium pale and columbus) and a 1 gallon batch of sMasH (UK pale and columbus). Hope to do a side by side tasting of the sMasH beers in a few weeks. Now I just have to clean everything up. Ugh.

    For me, traditional turkey dinner calls for a more balanced beer. A brown or mellow pale work for me. The pumkin spice also works for a lot other foods we eat around the holidays.

    What I did for beer today

    Completed my power supply conversion to run cooling system for my diy fermentation chiller. I have 12vdc and 5vdc to run fans, pumps or whatever. Got the Ranco duel stage controller wired up so the next step is to build the actual chamber and start testing.
