    black mold on keezer collar

    My keezer is located in sunroom/porch where the taps often condensate due to humid conditions. The condensation has spread to my unfinished wooden collar causing the collar to mold. If I were to rebuild collar with a varnished board (polyurethane) should I be able to keep it mold free? Thanks

    do yeast consume the cold break?

    I normally notice a significant amount of cold break in my carboy as it is filling, but when I rack the finished beer and collect the yeast the break seems to have disappeared. Is it there mixed in the yeast pile or do the yeast consume the break?
