    I think so. I can't remember how much I paid for the Steam Beer kit as it was four years ago. I do believe it was in that range though.

    If you are close to Center City, stop by Home Sweet Homebrew. The owner, George, will be more than happy to put together a kit for you. I believe he is located at 20th and Sansom. The second beer I brewed was a Steam Beer that he put together in about 5 minutes. It was excellent.

    What's More Accurate?

    This may explain why my fermentation fridge smells like banana so much (I'm using Wyeast 1214 in a Belgian Honey Ale). I really didn't pay attention to the fermometer until about 5 days into the fermentation.

    What is more accurate? A Fermometer or a Johnson Controller, with the sensor taped to a glass carboy. I ask because I'm getting two different readings on my carboy. My Johnson Controller is reading 73 degrees and the Fermometer is reading 78 degrees. I should note that I have a piece...
