Not if your freezer plugs into your temp control. Just turn the freezer down and let the controller do the work. Remember to set a compressor delay. I use 10 minutes.

I agree with slowing the Wort down. Try just heating a smaller amount of water and test different speeds and or recirc.

I prefer this method for the E-Stop and like the fact that it is a separate way to shut it off if needed other than relying on the breaker. One question, would you use the e-stop as a master switch or should I still instal a keyed switch?

That is just California that requires that. And yes Brass does contain trace amounts of lead but I don't think you have to worry about any transfer. California will soon require that warning on all peoples bottoms also.

You don't need them but if you don't you can't shut it off if it starts leaking. The post will shut it off when you disconnect the line as long as the poppet seats correctly. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
