Specialty IPA: Rye IPA Denny Conn's Wry Smile Rye IPA

Denny, I just racked my second batch yesterday. Got OG of 1.064 😟...not sure why. Got down to 1.014; so, I guess it's not a total failure. First try was right on, and it was probably the best beer I've brewed! Sons thought so too...didn't last long. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Double IPA Dogfish Head 90 Minute Clone

This recipe is great! I've brewed it twice (AG). My son and I did a side-by-side comparison; I couldn't tell the difference. He likes this version better! Will make this part of the rotation. Thanks for a great recipe! Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Dry Hop in a Better Bottle Question

I've tried this a few times, and each time the beer has come out full of small bubbles, which I assume is not a good thing...aeration!! Am I worrying unduly? Have you also had this issue?

Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

This is a wonderful beer! I have my third batch in primary. Gotta figure out if my system can handle a 10 gallon batch.

Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

I've brewed this recipe twice with a different recipe called Better Red Than Dead in between. While BRTD is very nice, my buddies and I all feel Raging Red is the better brew. It's definitely a regular on my brew list. Thanks for posting!

I need a blowoff tube for my blowoff tube.

Thanks, MrTheKing! Fermcap it is. Hope I can find it locally. I'm too Scottish to pay more for shipping than for the product.

I need a blowoff tube for my blowoff tube.

Yesterday I put 5.5 gallons of wort with an OG of 1.075 in a 6.5 gallon carboy fermenter pitched with 1028 Old English Ale. 70-72 degrees in the room. As of now, less than 24 hours later, I've lost nearly a gallon through the blowoff tube...no end in sight. Just keeps flowing. This has never...

Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

Really enjoyed this brew! Couldn't find caraaroma; subbed .5 lb each crystal 120 & special B; not quite as red as I'd hoped. Very tasty. Friends all loved it! Will definitely be brewing this on a regular basis.

One (hopefully) more noob question. Would this algorithm also apply to fly sparging?
