I'm not going to answer all of your questions, but I'll give my advice on your vessel. There has been research done on o2 permeability of the main fermentation vessels. Basic summation: use a better bottle for some permeability but not too much for long term fermentation with sour bugs. Buckets...

    Frozen yeast

This was an English barleywine and it tastes fantastic. I hadn't used this yeast prior to this experience, so I can't comment on some of the particulars. But the finished product tastes really good.

    Attempting Supplication clone

Brewed this recipe 12/30/12. Fermented according to BK1017 post/schedule but my gravity is only down to 1.020. Sample today is very vinous, dominated by the pinot noir added. I know we're still early on, but planned on adding the Sour Mix in a couple of weeks. Should I pitch more Abbey Ale...

For the longterm fermentation,it's best to use glass carboys, right?

    Supplication Clone

Most likely a dumb question, but the longterm aging/Brett/sour blend fermentation was in Glass carboys, right?

    Clogged regulator or burner?

Messed around with it this morning, disconnected the hose/regulator from the burner, sprayed compressed air, reconnected. Same problem! So I then turned the regulator's built in "gas control valve" all the way off while the burner was lit. I slowly opened that valve and re-lit the burner. As I...

    Clogged regulator or burner?

I disconnected and reconnected the tank and regulator/burner probably 10+ times.

    Clogged regulator or burner?

It had been upper 20's overnight and mid 30-low40's around brew time. I brought tank and burner inside, used a heating pad to try and warm the regulator on the burner and ambient warmth to warm the tank and nothing helped. Any ideas or you think it was cold enough to restrict flow? I always...

    Clogged regulator or burner?

Yesterday I could not get my Banjo Burner to properly heat. The gas output was really low and inefficient for brewing thus I brewed indoors. Anyhow, my propane tank was full and I even tried another one to eliminate that possibility. What should I clean/take apart first? And how?

    Frozen yeast

I racked to 2ndary and gravity was 1.021 on 10/31. Just FYI, make a starter and see what happens!

    Frozen yeast

So like I said, thawed it, made a starter. Used on stir plate for ~20 hrs, cooled it and pitched it. It looked great, lots of yeast settled out. My barleywine has been churning since Wednesday and is seemingly fine. My OG was 1.082 so I need those fantastic yeasties to work hard! I'll update...

    Frozen yeast

So my wife accidentally did this to my Wyeast Neobrittania. Planned on using it for a Barleywine...(uh-oh). Anyhow, made a starter, used a stir-plate for ~20 hrs. Now chilling in fridge. Seemingly okay, but only real way to know is to pitch it? Keep in mind I live in MS and have no easy access...
