It was good going into the bucket. I had a little leftover that I drank after I got the fermentor filled. But that's as far as I got. This one wound up with a pellicle infection. I haven't gotten around to brewing it again unfortunately.
Fort Wayne brewer here. Been a slow summer of brewing for me, but got a couple batches in this fall. Just got a 30qt pot and burner setup for Biab 5 gallon batches. I've done a couple 2 gallon on the stove.
I will really try to make my way in. One of my only two growlers is from twisted crew. It's going to be full of some homebrew when I come down. Friday night work I guess. I had the brown ale last year. Pretty good
Sweet. What do you think of the twisted crew brewing co.? I'm actually going to Seymour this weekend to visit a buddy. I will probably hit that place up as well as big woods and powerhouse
Here is the falconers flight version I did. Two lbs of Munich and 1 lb. c-75. Very malty, has a nice hop dryness at the end, very citrusy on the hops. Really excited about this one
I watched that game with horror. It was like watching something you've helped raise as a fan slowly die a painful death. Here's to the return to relevancy at least. Go hoosiers
No problems. Won't be cascade, but centennial is a great alternative. I just did this with a mini mash of sorts myself. 2 lbs Munich and 1 lb. c-75 . All falconers flight hops. Bry-97 yeast. Gotta experiment
Hey guys, looking at making a spiced Graf. Looking at 2 lbs. dark dme with 4 gallons aj. 1/2 lbs c80 and 2 oz. flaked wheat. Question is really about the spices. Should I just use my fav. Apple pie spices with normal quantities or something else
Well I think as much as a beer calculator will allow without turning the color too much. Maybe a half pound maybe a quarter. I had to drink this out of the bottle so im going strictly off what I perceived on flavor
I just tasted that beer last night. I didnt really notice orange. Heavy on the cinnamon and nutmeg though. I think it was maybe a citrus hop added for your perceived orange flavor. Id use a pilsen malt as the base some wheat and a small amount of a light lovibond crystal malt.
